What Every Parent and Student
Needs to Know

After completing MBBS at UBS, can my child practice medicine in India?

Yes. UBS is NMC-eligible, which means graduates are eligible to appear for FMGE/NExT - the Indian licensing exam. Clearing FMGE/NExT allows full medical practice in India. UBS also provides dedicated FMGE/NExT coaching as part of the program to help students clear this exam. NEET qualification is additionally recommended for students who plan to return to India.

My child's NEET score is low - can they still get admission at UBS?

UBS does not require a separate university entrance exam. Admission is based on 12th PCB marks (minimum 50% general, 40% reserved). NEET qualification is needed for eventual India licensing but is not a UBS admission requirement. The entire admission process completes in just 3 weeks from application.

Is the total cost really under ₹25 Lakhs*? What's included and what's not?

Yes. Annual cost at UBS is approximately $5,100 - covering tuition ($2,900), hostel ($400), food ($1,200), and visa/government fees ($600). Over 6 years, total spend is $31,000 approximately. With entire 6-year fee payment option, $10,000 scholarship can be offered, making the entire program fee cost less than ₹23L

How will my child manage without knowing Russian or Uzbek?

No local language is required for academics - the entire MBBS curriculum at UBS is taught in English. Over 50% of the faculty are Indian, so students find the teaching style familiar from day one. For daily life, the university provides full orientation support to help students settle in quickly.

Is Uzbekistan safe for Indian students, especially girls?

Uzbekistan is consistently rated one of the safest countries in Central Asia. Namangan is a calm, family-oriented city with a low crime rate. UBS maintains on-campus hostel facilities for international students and provides arrival-to-settling-in support. There is a large Indian student community at UBS, and Indian food is easily available locally.

We've heard of students getting stuck abroad after fake admissions. How is UBS different?

Valid concern. UBS is NMC-eligible (verifiable on the NMC website), listed in WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools), and WHO-recognised. These are not claims - they are publicly searchable records. We encourage every family to independently verify UBS's status on the NMC and WDOMS websites before making any decision. Our counsellors can guide you through the verification process.

What if my child wants to pursue a PG or specialization after MBBS - is the degree accepted?

The UBS MBBS degree is WHO and WDOMS recognised, which gives it international credibility. For PG in India (like DNB or MD/MS through NEET PG), students would first need to clear FMGE/NExT to register with the NMC. For PG abroad, a WHO-recognised MBBS opens doors in many countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East.
